Rules and shelf life for cherry compotes

The workpieces prepared with sterilization are well preserved in the conditions of an ordinary city apartment. For seams made without it, it is desirable to have a dark, cool room. The shelf life depends on whether the pits are removed from the cherries. Amygdalin, which they contain, can eventually turn into hydrocyanic acid - the strongest poison for humans. With an increase in the shelf life, its concentration increases. Therefore, such a product is eaten in the first season.

A pitted dish has a longer shelf life and is completely safe even for the second or third year after production.
