Tell me, please, how to sprout potatoes in the light or in the dark? We always germinated in the light, but last year made us think about the possible benefits of not very long germination in the dark in coolness. What is your opinion on this?
It is best of course to germinate in the light. In the dark, for example, in the basement, where everyone usually stores potatoes, the sprouts will be thin and weak. They will miss the lighting. You just need to sprout potatoes not in direct sunlight, but for example in crates in a dark corner. We always get potatoes for germination in the second half of March, and always get excellent planting material.
